“…I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me.” 2 Timothy 1:12 ESV

Reflect for a moment, do you find that many of your struggles with sin revolve around anxieties and fear?  To paraphrase the Apostle James (1:5-7), when you ask God for something, do you really believe or do you reserve a place for the “What ifs…?” as in: “What if not …?” or “What if won’t…?” or “What if can’t…?” or “What if it’s all in my head; it’s my imagination; it’s for anybody but me?” Don’t let fear and anxiety ride shotgun to your highest hopes that God can and will do “exceedingly above” all that you ask or think!  Friend, God will deliver you from your doubts, fears, and anxieties. All you have to do is honor him by faith with obedience—you will develop the certainty that comes from being convinced of your godly hope! The Apostle Paul learned this, telling a young pastor, and you and me, “…I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me.” 2 Timothy 1:12 ESV

. . . “Don’t let fear and anxiety ride shotgun to your highest hopes, be convinced by faith!”
