Fathers. The majority of us are trying our best, but not one of us has done it perfectly and we may have our regrets. The Patriarch Jacob, who fathered sons who became the nation of Israel, was a scheming, insecure man who foolishly displayed favoritism. But he trusted in God’s promises and mercy. Looking to the future, he blessed his children, giving them vision, character, hope and an identity that lives still today! Fathers, let’s be encouraged. Keep trusting God and keep blessing your families.  “All these are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father said to them when he blessed them.
