“I, Wisdom, live together with good judgment. I know where to discover knowledge and discernment. All who fear the Lord will hate evil. Therefore, I hate pride and arrogance, corruption and perverse speech. Common sense and success belong to me. Insight and strength are mine.” Proverbs 8: 12-14
Whatever happened to common sense? A self-absorbed person doesn’t have it, but a person who seeks after God does. A self-absorbed person is all about pleasing his senses, doing what feels good in the moment, but someone who seeks after God is searching for truth, trying to understand patterns, consequences, and the created order. Which type of person are you? Common sense is rare today because we live in a generation of self-absorbed people. Seek God—gain wisdom! “I, Wisdom, live together with good judgment. I know where to discover knowledge and discernment. All who fear the Lord will hate evil. Therefore, I hate pride and arrogance, corruption and perverse speech. Common sense and success belong to me. Insight and strength are mine.” Proverbs 8: 12-14
. . . “Seek God—gain wisdom!”
