“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

I recently adopted a dog. People generally are supportive but one person said, “I’m waiting for my dog to die!” Ouch! Maybe you can tell where a person is in life by their reaction to a pet. How many of our human relationships are we killing because we are waiting for them to die? Are you nurturing the people in your life, or are you considering throwing away your investment, abandoning your commitment, discarding the old and starting with something new? Don’t wait for your relationships to die, make today about them, not about you: “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
