“I say to the Lord, You are my God; give ear to the voice of my pleas for mercy, O Lord! O Lord, my Lord, the strength of my salvation.” Psalms 140:6-7 ESV

Anemic. Is that how you would describe your spiritual life? You look at spiritually fit people and feel like the 98-pound weakling on the beach. Do you find that even in prayer, you’re going through the pious motions but all the while on another level you’re thinking of other things, as if your plans are more important than the presence of God? What you need is spiritual exercise! But unlike building muscles in your body that requires you lifting great weight, spiritual exercise is learning to wait for God, learning that your strength and discipline is a gift of God. The Apostle Paul learned that, “When I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:10) Today, let God know your frustration and thank him for his help until you feel his power in you! “I say to the Lord, You are my God; give ear to the voice of my pleas for mercy, O Lord! O Lord, my Lord, the strength of my salvation.” Psalms 140:6-7 ESV

. . . “Today, let God know your frustration and thank him for his help until you feel his power in you!”
